For 2011, I plan on changing the way that PEOPLE interact with a brand. A brand is not a stand-alone entity, it’s not a mission statement or some piece of copy at the bottom of an email signature. It is comprised of individuals. All with differing opinions, thoughts and talents. The good, the bad and the unknown.
To 2011 and beyond.
It’s hosted on Tumblr. Why Tumblr? Well, I wanted something light, easy to update and post content into that works with my mobile devices and curates content from other sources. We’re not trying to re-invent the wheel here, just needed an attractive place to place daily content so people could get excited about skiing and riding.
The Inaugural Aspen Business Expo
“Growing Your Business in Today’s Economy”Aspen, CO – To help local businesses stay one step ahead in these difficult economic surroundings, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association hosted the inaugural Aspen Business Expo on Tuesday, November 16 at The Hotel Jerome.. The theme for the 2010 Aspen Business Expo was “Growing Your Business in Today’s Economy.”
The keynote address—“Aspen Skiing Company: Leaning Into the Recession”—was presented by David Perry, senior vice president at the Aspen Skiing Company, and Auden Schendler, the vice president of sustainability at the Aspen Skiing Company. Local experts like Aspen Skiing Company’s social media and online marketing guru David Amirault and Charlie Bantis from Vectra Bank contributed to three informative and compelling panel discussions entitled “Tips to Grow Your Business,” “Next Steps in Social Media applications for Business,” and “Financing & Access to Capital.”
The Aspen Business Expo also presented a valuable opportunity for the 300+ attendees to network with business owners and entrepreneurs during the Expo Trade Show that followed the panel discussions. 40 local, regional, and national businesses attended the expo as exhibitors and the Hotel Jerome was packed with people throughout the day.
Crazy that I can walk out my backdoor and grab photos like this. What a difference from Cambridge.
Snowmass Mountain from the Snowmass Rec Center.
Fall in Colorado.
Hanging Valley Wall, a very bad-ass place to ski at Snowmass. Bring your A-Game.
This is “The Cirque” at Snowmass.
Waiting for the bus doesn’t suck as much when you have a view like this.
Better watch your back, Jeremy.
As if things couldn’t get any better.
As of December 1, I will be moving to downtown Aspen. I’ve got a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment a couple blocks from Apsen Mountain. This is a dream come true.
Dream come true.
