Just heard from Progressive about the fate of 2 Fast 2 Digital… She’s been totaled. Bummer. So, time to buy a new car. Been doing some shopping, crunching some numbers and trying to figure out what I can afford without putting myself into a massive amount of crippling debt.
Figured I should start at the Subaru dealership. I need something with all wheel drive and can handle snow. Since I live in Boulder I’m required to own a road bike, Subaru, have a Labrador and shop at Whole Foods. I’m allergic to dogs so I’ll never know the joy of having “man’s best friend” but everything else is essentially on lockdown.

Bummer to hear that 2 Fast 2 Digital is headed 2 the junkyard.
But a Subaru? Come on… it’s like the engineers sat down with a clean slate and said “You know what, people need to know that Toyota isn’t the only show in town with cars that can cram 20 lbs of boring into a 10lb sack… we can play that game too.”
Disappointing. What happened to the Audi idea? Used A3 3.2l V6 quattros arn’t exatly spendy. If you buy new you can get a 2.0T with the quattro too, if the V6 isn’t green enough for the whole foods lot.
But maybe a nice TT ‘vert is more your steez, given the Greg Proops glasses and tight pants thing you’ve got going on since you moved west. The women out here can’t buy enough of those things.
