Completely dawned on me that I neglected to blog about the CBS College Sports ALT games and Copper Sunsation. Ok, I’ll have to get around to that this weekend.

For now, here’s a photo of me on stage. This is probably the largest live audience I’ve ever made a fool of myself in front of.

More details coming soon. Pinky swear.

CBS Alt Games

How many stupid made up holidays do we need? Being environmentally conscious should be something that you should be aware of 365 days a year, 366 during a leap year. People have been getting assaulted with so called “green” initiatives over the last few years, so do we really need Earth Day anymore?

Anyway, go plant a tree or some shit. I’m going to put out that tire fire in my backyard with a gallon of freon.

Earth Day

Go ahead, have yourself a laugh.

Today’s my little sister’s 23rd birthday.
She’s all grown up now. Working for corporate America, living in Boston and doing all sorts of big-girl stuff. Here’s to hoping she puts all that aside tonight and cuts loose so that tomorrow morning is filled with coffee and Advil.

Happy Birthday, Cait

This Is Sparta!

Spring is here. Hit the driving range with Tawny and Jon at lunch today. I’m awful at golf. If I’m ever going to get into this sport I’m going to need much, much, much more practice.

Thankfully, I’m taking the entire month of May off. Looks like I’ll have plenty of time to get better.

And yes, my legs are skinny. Deal with it.

After almost four and a half amazing years working as the Online Editor & Interactive Services Manager for Freeskier Magazine I have decided to pursue new challenges and opportunities. My final day in the office is April 30.

As for my future. Those details are being ironed out right now. Chances are, I’ll be moving out of Colorado. Until then, I plan on taking the entire month of May off to explore this amazing state, travel to Jamaica with friends and reward myself for all the hard work and accomplishments I’ve had while at Freeskier.

I can’t wait to take the next major step in my life, personally and professionally.

Here’s my post from January 2006 when I announced I would be moving to Colorado. How time flies.

A little idea I dreamed up here at the magazine that will debut this summer with the 2011 Freeskier Magazine Buyer’s Guide.

Ok, it’s been two weeks the KT Tape and I am happy to report that things are turning around. The soreness in my knee is just about gone, I’ve laid off taking any NSAID’s and my knee felt much better while skiing this past weekend.

My first application of the tape lasted over a week without peeling off, looking ratty or just getting nasty in general. The only problem I had was taking the damn stuff off. Since KT Tape stretches an absurd amount, when you pull it off it tends to take a fair share of your leg hair with it. Ladies, this won’t be an issue for you (hopefully), fellas you may want to buzz it down a little bit before you go wrapping your extremities in the stuff. It makes re-applying much easier.

Hopefully, another couple of weeks and this dreaded case of jumpers knee will be a distant memory.
