KickAspen was such a good time. Despite the craptastic driving conditions from Boulder to Aspen, I made it with about an hour to spare. The crowd was huge, the Bud Light was flowing and the jump was great. Many thanks again to the Aspen/Snowmass event and communication staff for letting me host this event.

Wow, many thanks to the crew in Aspen for inviting me back to host yet another event in their marvelous little mountain town. This weekend I’ll be making the drive for the KickAspen Big Air. It takes place in the heart of town, right next to the Silver Queen Gondola on Friday night under the lights. Aspen Fashion Week is wrapping up this weekend and the crowds are expected to be huge!

I’ll also be skiing Aspen Highlands with Fielding on Saturday and maybe doing some backcountry touring in Marble, CO on Sunday. It’s supposed to snow like a bastard from Friday through Saturday so who knows!

KickAspen Big Air showcases the best regional ski and snowboard athletes competing under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain. Prize giveaways, a beer garden and a DJ will round out the action!

Unfortunately, I don’t get to hook all my friends up with a free subscription to Freeskier Magazine so I’m happy to announce that you can read the last three years of the magazine at freeskier.com/magazine for free.

Go give it a read. If you like what we’re doing over here, feel free to throw us a few bucks and subscribe.

My Grandmother is 100% Irish, so that makes a part of me Irish. How much? I don’t know. Just know that it’s enough that I can get blackout drunk today.

My cousin Ryan is trying to get on the Airbirne Bicycles team and they said that his application could be an essay or video. Since essays are a thing of the past I helped him create this video in an evening from my apartment. Hopefully he gets on the team and can hook me up with some sweet stuff as a thank you for making this video for him, ha!

You can bet your sweet ass that I’ll be seeing this on opening night in IMAX 3D.

Let’s do some quick math…
Jeff Bridges stars in this movie. + Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack. + It’s a fucking Tron Sequel = Copious amounts of WIN.

Synopsis
TRON is a 3D high—tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech—savvy 27—year—old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life—and—death journey across a visually—stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Been a fan of Grum since they released a song called “Heartbeats” and now they’re back at it with this great track and music video…

The video for Grum’s new single (out May 3rd) was directed by The General Assembly and produced by Townhall.

Quite simply some of the most stupid music television you are likely to see, but rather than bang on about that, here’s a quote from one of the directors, Ryan McNeill…

“Making this video was probably far more fun for those of us behind the camera than for everyone on camera. We provided spit buckets for our actresses so they wouldn’t have to swallow all the food. Even with that precautionary measure, I definitely saw gag reflexes kicking in during the scenes with baked beans. The actor playing the father was a great sport about shooting scenes on some frightening streets in downtown Los Angeles. I was just relieved that actors even showed up after receiving the call that they had been cast in a music video about the lurid, pornographic underbelly of competitive eating.”

The test forms have been submitted, reps have hauled away their 2010-2011 skis, we’ve packed up all our gear from Copper Mountain and the 2010 Freeskier Magazine Ski Test is fading away in our rear view mirrors as we head back down to Boulder to process mountains of tester data, video and photos.

Grant Savidge gets it done outside the park.

First up, we’d like to thank Mother Nature for cooperating with us all week at Copper Mountain and delivering perfect conditions day after day. We had abundant snowfall, comfortable temperatures and even a couple days of bluebird sky with light and dry snow to shred all that 2010-2011 gear on.

Josh Berman’s little bro, Zack Berman gives the latest offering from the rooster a throttling.

What was the best gear? Well, you’re going to have to pick up our 2011 Freeskier Magazine Buyer’s Guide and tune into freeskier.com/buyersguide for all the information in August to find out. For now, we’ll show you a few more videos from company reps with what they’re offering for next year.

Dear Wells Fargo,
Stop butchering the English language. A financial institution should never communicate with anyone like this. I know you may be running out of characters since you don’t shorten links (probably so people know what URL they’re bring brought to before clicking) however there is no excuse to be tweeting like a text messaging 12 year old girl.

Make your own internal URL shortener (It’s not hard, we did it at Freeskier) or be more concise with your tweets.
