I’m back after disconnecting for a couple of days. I needed to take some time to myself and have some fun after making some rather large decisions. Conditions were near perfect this weekend. Bigger update coming soon.
Near perfect spring conditions at Vail. Fresh snow the day before and temperatures in the mid 30’s without a cloud in the sky. I love Colorado.
I’m going to take a couple days off from the internet. I need a weekend of skiing with good friends, healthy amounts of alcohol and some good music.
See you next week, friends.

To quote a good friend today…
You love skiing more than anyone else I know.
Terrific work by the creative folks at Mullen.
Jeezus-
The snow just keeps coming down. We’re not talking any regular snow here, this is the heavy, wind driven, 1-3 inches an hour, sticking to anything it comes into contact with kinda snow. Most of Boulder has lost power, the highways are closed, people are stranded on the sides of the road… In other words, things are real nice here.
Very glad I have studded snow tires on the Jetta. I was dashing around town this evening buying groceries, dropping off dry cleaning and hitting the gym.
Stonewall Place looks good with the new snow.
NO time to do an interesting update today. I’m working on the CSS / UX for the new Freeskier Magazine Media Kit.
So, here’s me being lazy and just posting a funny video.

Exciting stuff, I know.
This is what happens when a tobacco company does a full run of display ads on your website and sponsors your office. You get enough product to create architectural mockups of fake buildings.
So now we’ve got a beer sponsor (Coors), energy drink sponsor (Red Bull) and now a tobacco sponsor (General Snus.)
I wish we still had a vehicle sponsor. Oh well, I took care of that last year when I totaled our company Toyota.
The Snus Tower, opening up Spring of 2018 in Dubai.
Went skiing at Snowmass today. This was some of the best weather I’ve had the pleasure of skiing in.
Riding the platter lift to the top of the cirque at Snowmass. Good thing I threw on some sunblock before leaving the house!
Fielding with Pyramid Peak in the distance. We were hiking up Burnt Mountain at Snowmass searching for some two day old pow. I’m happy to report that we found some.
Look at the getup that this guy was wearing! I know it’s Fashion Week in Aspen, but this is ridiculous.
Sorry that’s all I have for pictures. I was too busy skiing and loving life to snap any more!
Aspen Highlands - March 20, 2010
Posted by: David Amirault in Freeskier, Skiing, Friends, TravelingIt snowed 13 inches. The sun is shining. Temperatures are perfect. My life does not suck.
Ants marching up the Highland Bowl.
I wonder who put the Freeskier, Sunday River and Sugarloaf stickers on this sign?
God damn, that is one amazing view.
Here’s the view from Fielding’s kitchen at the base of Aspen Highands. Not exactly a long commute to the lifts.
Unfortunately, the Deep Temerity lift broke down and I had to hike out of the Steeplechase part of Aspen Highlands. It sucked, oh well.
Bye for now.
