Figured I would join the bandwagon and start blogging about the impending end of the world. That’s right, SWINE FLU!  Chances are, you’re going to get it and die in a horrifically grizzly death which is sure to be the most painful thing you’ve ever endured.  Loved ones will watch as this unforgiving sickness ravages your body, systematically dismantling every single one of your internal organs leaving you nothing more than a disgusting shadow of your former self.

Thankfully, there are websites now devoted to online screening of this impending disaster.  So, do yourself a favor and get screened online.

Apparently, Tuckerman Ravine slid this past Saturday and some asshat was lucky enough to be caught up in the avalanche and survive.

More amazing, someone has it all on video.

This website is amazing.

It’s almost as if everyone out on a Friday night in Breckenridge was magically captured and transported to the internet with witty captions alongside photos.

“There better be some torn leggings, bruised thighs, and tattered cowboy boots under that blanket, or we are out of here.”

The boys from Team Canada (TJ, Chug, Darren and Neil) did a great job on their Jon Olsson Super Sessions Video.  Awesome skiing, dope cinematography and complex editing (what a surprise from Neil and Darren).

So, go have a look.  Certainly worth a couple minutes of your day to scope some of the hottest ski action on the planet.

Spring was in the air today.
Temperatures were in the mid 70’s, a cool wind was blowing from the west and the sun was glowing high in the sky.  Days like this are the reasons why I live in Colorado.  Gazing westward, you’re greeted by a wall of 14,000 foot peaks glazed with heavy spring snow.  To the east, the plains show the initial signs of spring thanks to the welcomed rainfall we’ve seen in the last week.

What a perfect day to ride my bike.

Just outside the city limits of Boulder, the plains are finally budding with color.

The Plains

Take that, Earth Day.

Just don’t make this mistake.

Well, that’s another season in the bank for Copper Mountain, my home mountain here in Colorado.  According to my pass scanning, I ended up with 25 days just at Copper.  Not too shabby.  Who knows how many I have at Winter Park, Breckenridge, A-Basin, Keystone and Loveland…

Leaving Boulder, the Flatirons with some new snow and a beautiful bluebird sky.

The Flatirons with new snow.

Wait a second, this is closing day?  What about all the bare spots and lackluster coverage?  Nope, not here in CO.  We just got a couple feet this week.

Fresh Snow on Closing Day

Why not end the day with a free concert from Soundtribe Sector 9?  Sure…

Over the past couple of days, there has been a little bit of concern regarding some of my recent posts.  As a service to our loyal MMP viewers I have set up a temporary phone number that you can call to voice your concerns, ask questions and get any answers you need.

Phone lines are open whenever I feel like picking up my cell. Normally, I don’t put my phone number on the internet, however I am a fan of open lines of comunication so go ahead and reach out if you’ve had any issues with some of my posts this week.

I’d like the see any other nation’s national bird do something like this.
Dear France, your national bird is pretty wack.
