Hilary turned 21 last week and we celebrated at Old Chicago’s for a couple of adult beverages. During this time, her circle of friends was introduced to “shooting the boot”… Let me explain.
If you are drinking with friends and you accidentally knock over a drink you must drink your next one out of your shoe.
If you are wearing sandals or any sort of open toed shoe your friends may select a shoe for you to drink out of. This usually consists of people selecting the nastiest foot out of all your friends.
During our time at Old Chicago’s, Hilary’s friend Bo spilled a beer. This was minutes after I revealed the recent man-law to them. Immediately we all started chanting “Shoot the Boot” and Bo gladly obliged by pouring a Budweiser into his Addidas and taking his first boot like a man. Excellent work, Bo. You’re alright in my book.
