Was going through my VTOpen pipe shots for the story I’m writing for Freeskier.com and I stumbled across this doozer. Pretty good photo. Needs a little bit of photoshop work and color correction, but all in all, pretty damn steezey.

Hey, look. Amanda found her way into the shot too. She’s in the plaid jacket crouched down taking a photo.

Ok, if some strange woman came up to your car right off of the street and started petting your rims, wouldn’t you be a bit frightened? Of course you wouldn’t be! You’d bring the bitch inside your car and watch some tv in the headrests!

I also like how you can upload your own designs to your rims. What the shit is the world coming to?

I swear to god, Andrew isn’t wasted in this picture. Plenty of sober people wear a gigantic bear head while at the bar and appear to have asian eyes and the biggest shit-eating grins on the planet Earth.

He had a great birthday.

Here’s the view from my bedroom window. A little different than what I saw back home in Rhode Island. Damn, look at all those clouds… This is considered a “shitty” day for weather here in Boulder.

You tend to do crazy things when you’ve been standing on top of a halfpipe for 6+ hours taking photos. After hearing the same songs over and over through the day many of us decided to have an impromptu dance session and broke out some sweet-ass dance moves.

Andrew has always been good at stacking things. He was inasne with building blocks, created entire cities with legos… Hell, he even worked as a stock-boy at a supermarket. The man just has natural ability when it comes to placing items on top of eachother. So, here he is, celebrating his latest masterpiece, the beeramyd.

Dave and Andrew, making it happen at Stratton on Andrew’s birthday. I drank way, way, way too many Red Bull and vodkas that weekend. But when they’re free, you tend to drink them down like water.

Now if you excuse me, my heart is going to explode.

Here’s a shot from Mike Wilson’s 20+ foot boost at the VT Open Quarterpipe finals. The quarterpipe was 30 feet high and he was boosting 20-25 feet out. He ultimately lost control and crashed onto the flats and had to be ambulanced to the hospital. Major concussion and tons of stitches. I was standing on top of the quarter when I shot this. Look how small the people are who are watching from the bottom of the run.

Heal up fast, Wilson.

Ain’t no party like a Freeskier hotel party.
Here’s a little image from Andrew’s birthday party here at Stratton. We pulled a MacGuyver and transformed the tub into a cooler.

On some pretty skechy wifi right now at the Stratton village. I’ll have some massive updates along with some pretty interesting stories when I get a reliable connection.
